DENVER, March 24 (UPI) -- A University of Colorado woman allegedly gang-raped by school athletes wrote in her diary she wanted to "ruin" the lives of her attackers.
Alleged rape victim Lisa Simpson also wrote about how much "pleasure" it gave her to know while no one was charged with sexual assault, some University of Colorado players were arrested for providing alcohol to minors that night and "this was something that would follow them forever."
Simpson is the woman at the center of a CU recruiting scandal, the Rocky Mountain News reported Wednesday.
Her allegations that she was raped by athletes at a 2001 off-campus party rocked the university and led to state and national investigations.
Simpson sued the university. Last year, as part of her lawsuit, she was questioned about her diary entries during a deposition with CU attorneys. Those depositions were obtained by the newspaper.
"God help me, I will ruin the lives of (five specific players), and whoever the recruits are," Simpson wrote in her diary.
