WASHINGTON, March 10 (UPI) -- The pro-Democrat Media Fund Wednesday launched a massive $5 million TV ad blitz to blast President Bush's record in 17 states over 14 days.

The ads will run March 10-23 in key, potentially swing battleground states: Arizona, Arkansas, Florida, Iowa, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New Hampshire, Ohio, New Mexico, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Washington, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

"This is an administration and a Republican party that on issue after issue has shown its indifference to the dreams and needs and anxieties and values of America's middle class," said Media Fund chief and founder Harold Ickes.

The Media Fund is a political organization under section 527 of the IRS revenue code. It receives donations to fund issue advertising.
