Two Hispanic ad firms merge

MIAMI, Feb. 23 (UPI) -- The merger of a Miami company and a Texas firm Monday created the nation's largest Hispanic advertising agency, The Miami Herald reported.

The merger of Publicis Sanchez & Levitan of Miami, part of the Publicis USA group, and Bromley Communications of San Antonio, creates a firm with $29.9 million in revenue and $276 million in billings, the newspaper said.

The new group will be just ahead of the perennial No. 1 Hispanic agency, The Bravo Group of New York.

Bromley brings such clients as Burger King, Circuit City, Procter and Gamble, ESPN and the Coors Brewing Co. to the table. PS&L's top clients are BellSouth, Nestle, L'Oreal and Chivas Regal.

"This is an alliance that will deliver significant value to our clients," said Ernest Bromley, the new group's chairman and chief executive. "Both of our agencies have been up at bat for the finest of blue-chip clients."
