Prodigy, 21, about to become doctor

LONDON, Feb. 22 (UPI) -- British Prime Minister Tony Blair wants to allow public schools to give random drug tests to students.
"If you have a serious problem in your school, there is no point in trying to conceal it," Blair told the News of the World newspaper.
Under Blair's plan, school officials would be given the authority to take actions such as reporting drug-using students to police, expelling the students or counseling them to get treatment.
A spokesman for the Liberal Democrats, Phil Willis, told the BBC he objected to random drug testing: "Are we going to do the same for smoking for underage children? Are we going to do it in terms of drink? Is that how we are going to create civilized communities in our schools?
