HAMAOKA, Japan, Feb. 21 (UPI) -- A fire at Japan's Hamaoka nuclear power plant in Shizuoka Prefecture was quickly extinguished Saturday, with no reported radioactive leakage.
The fire broke out on the roof of a turbine building at the No. 2 reactor while the reactor was undergoing regular inspections. In-house firefighters quelled the blaze using two fire extinguishers.

The reactor had already been shut down for inspection when the fire was reported. A monitoring station showed no irregular radioactivity levels after the fire.
