Members of British Air Force based in the Falklands launched a successful rescue of the two from the northern section of Antarctica's Ronne Ice Shelf.

The BBC said Muray, who suffered a broken arm in her Bell 407's descent, and Bodill were to be flown to Chile Saturday.

The two left New York on Oct. 22 for the 33,000-mile trip that included 160 scheduled stops.
