SAO PAULO, Dec. 17 (UPI) -- Brazil's president remains as popular in December as he did some four months ago, according to a survey released Wednesday.
Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva received an approval rating of 66 percent, reported the IBOPE polling firm. Back in September, his approval stood at 69 percent. Another poll earlier this month reported similar results.

Disapproval on the other hand rose only slightly, from 24 percent to 25 percent.
Lula is coming up on one year in office on Jan. 1 and approaches that milestone with 41 percent of the 2,000 people polled saying that he was either "good" or very good" in 2003.
