Poll: Almost half in U.S. creationist

WASHINGTON, Oct. 14 (UPI) -- U.S. Rep. Allen Boyd, D-Fla., has decided to forgo a race for the United States Senate in favor of running for re-election to his seat in the U.S. House of Representatives.
Boyd, who has established a reputation as a moderate, pro-business Democrat, had contemplated a bid for the Senate seat held by Democrat Bob Graham since 1986.
Graham recently ceased efforts to win the Democrat's 2004 presidential nomination but has not yet said whether he will seek fourth term in the Senate.
