Poll: Almost half in U.S. creationist
SACRAMENTO, Oct. 6 (UPI) -- California Gov. Gray Davis, a Democrat, thinks Republican gubernatorial candidate Arnold Schwarzenegger should address sexual misconduct allegations.
"I believe Mr. Schwarzenegger should deal with these explanations in detail, not through partial explanations, evasive answers and partial denials," Davis said. "The question gets down to this: Are all 15 women and their families lying, or is Mr. Schwarzenegger not telling us the truth?"
Following published reports of 15 incidents of inappropriate touching by Schwarzenegger spanning 30 years, the candidate apologized at a news conference last week.
In an interview with NBC News anchor Tom Brokaw that aired Sunday, Schwarzenegger said Davis is partly to blame for the charges coming out now and it was the governor who owes the people of California an apology for what he has done to the state, the Washington Post reported.
He said when the campaign is over, "I can get into all of the specifics and find out what is really going on. But right now, I'm just really occupied with the campaign."
Schwarzenegger capped off his four-day bus trip throughout California with a rally in Sacramento holding a broom and said, "We are going to clean house."
