The inmates are believed to have fled in a stolen gold and silver 2000 Jeep Cherokee with Louisiana license plates JAM 849, the FBI said.

In 1998, Washington allegedly participated in two bank robberies in Louisiana.

Also in 1998, Washington and two others allegedly robbed a bank in Dardanelle, Ark. While in jail awaiting trial on state robbery charges in Arkansas, Washington escaped.

In April 2002, he was arrested in Kirkwood, Mo., for auto theft and other crimes.

Photos and description of Washington are accessible from fbi.gov/mostwant/alert/washington.htm

The FBI said Washington should be considered armed and dangerous.
