Thousands of bogus DVDs seized

LONDON, July 11 (UPI) -- The Federation Against Copyright Theft, the British anti-piracy agency, says it seized 100,000 counterfeit DVDs on July 4.

That's the second time this year it has captured such a sizable haul of pirated discs, the Hollywood Reporter reported.

The agency, known as FACT, says it was called in by Essex police after they stopped a vehicle containing a quantity of pirated DVDs.

Authorities were led to a warehouse where more than 100,000 discs were found along with 300,000 pieces of artwork. Two arrests were made.
