RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, June 30 (UPI) -- Saudi Interior Minister Prince Nayef bin Abdel Aziz Monday said 50 suspected terrorists have been arrested, including some "very important" figures.

Nayef refused to identify the detainees. The Saudi daily al-Watan said he described some of the detainees as "very important wanted figures."

Nayef did not say whether those arrested were suspected in a series of bombings in Riyadh last month that killed 36 and left another 100 injured.

The minister warned parents to keep a closer eye on there children, who he said are being brainwashed by extremists and "being used as tools ... fed with wrong and dangerous ideas."
