LOS ANGELES, June 11 (UPI) -- The U.S. Postal Service is scheduled to unveil a postage stamp Wednesday honoring legendary Hollywood actress Audrey Hepburn.
It's the ninth stamp in the Legends of Hollywood Series. Hepburn, who died in 1993 at age 63 after cancer surgery, is being honored both for her screen career and her humanitarian work as a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations' Children's Fund.
Hepburn won the Oscar for Best Actress for "Roman Holiday" (1953). She also won a Tony Award for her performance in the Broadway play "Ondine."
Her film resume included "Sabrina" (1954), "Breakfast at Tiffany's" (1961) and "Wait Until Dark" (1967).
