3 Southern politicians honored for courage

BOSTON, May 12 (UPI) -- Three Southern politicians receive the John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Award Monday for taking politically courageous stands. Former Georgia Gov. Roy Barnes, former South Carolina Gov. David Beasley and former Georgia state Rep. Dan Ponder Jr. are being honored at the JFK Library in Boston.
