U.S. stopped al-Qaida plots against troops

WASHINGTON, April 22 (UPI) -- U.S. intelligence agencies disrupted terrorist plots, including some by al-Qaida against the U.S. military during the war in Iraq, two U.S. officials told UPI. "Al-Qaida plots against U.S. troops in the Gulf were disrupted during the war," a government official said.
