Hard fall for NYMEX crude prices

NEW YORK, March 18 (UPI) -- Crude prices took a major tumble on the New York Mercantile Exchange Tuesday as the start of a war in the Persian Gulf appeared imminent. Heavy selling in anticipation of a short conflict in Iraq sent April crude down a whopping $3.26 per barrel and May down $2.49.
