Cops deny report Spector 'cleared'

LOS ANGELES, March 11 (UPI) -- Los Angeles County authorities denied a report Tuesday that record producer Phil Spector had been cleared of murder in the death of actress Lana Clarkson. A Los Angeles radio station reported investigators determined her wound was self-inflicted, although a sheriff's spokeswoman had no official word murder had been discounted.
