Suit fights 'lewd' words ordinance

CHICAGO, March 5 (UPI) -- A class-action suit challenges the constitutionality of a 19th century ordinance that bans the use of "lewd" and "filthy" words. The suit filed in U.S. District Court stems from the October arrest of Salvador Garcia, 17, who was charged with violating the ordinance.
