Blocked exits trapped club-goers

CHICAGO, Feb. 17 (UPI) -- Padlocked emergency doors trapped dozens of victims in the rear stairway of a South Side nightclub where at least 21 people died, officials said Monday. "Loss of life would have been a lot less had the doors been open," said Fire Commissioner James Joyce.
