Reports: U.S. to raise threat level

WASHINGTON, Feb. 7 (UPI) -- U.S. officials were set Friday to raise the national terrorism threat level from yellow to orange, the second highest level behind red, media reports said. The announcement by Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge and Attorney General John Ashcroft was expected at 1 p.m. ET.
