Army orders new batch of Patriot missiles

WASHINGTON, Jan. 7 (UPI) -- Lockheed Martin was awarded a $341 million Army contract Tuesday for 88 of the latest model of the Patriot missile, the aerospace company announced. The Texas-built PAC-3 Patriot is an updated version of the anti-missile system that received mixed reviews during the 1991 Gulf War.
