Bush to get smallpox jab

WASHINGTON, Dec. 13 (UPI) -- President George W. Bush announced Friday a mandatory vaccination program against smallpox for U.S. military forces and said he will receive the vaccination himself. Civilian first responders to terrorist attacks will be given information to help them decide for themselves on whether to receive the vaccination that contains a live virus and often has unpleasant, and occassionally fatal, side-effects.
