Author Dee Brown dead at 94

LITTLE ROCK, Ark., Dec. 13 (UPI) -- Dee Brown, author of the 1971 bestseller "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee" and respected historian of the American West, has died at 94. Brown wrote 29 books during his long career but his classic account of Manifest Destiny from the American Indian's point-of-view was the hallmark of his literary legacy.
