Report: Cardinal Law to offer resignation

BOSTON, Dec. 12 (UPI) -- Cardinal Bernard Law reportedly will offer his resignation to the pope, who is expected to accept it, it was reported Thursday. The Catholic World News reported that Law is to meet Friday with Pope John Paul II and Vatican officials expect the cardinal to offer his resignation at that time.
