First lethal injection in Alabama

ATMORE, Ala., Dec. 12 (UPI) -- A 46-year-old man Thursday became the first person to die by lethal injection in Alabama. Anthony Keith Johnson was executed at the Holman Correctional Facility for his role in the 1984 murder of a jeweler during a robbery attempt at his home.
