SAN JOSE, Calif., Dec. 7 (UPI) -- Vincent Damphousse scored with 1:45 remaining in the third period Friday night to complete a third-period comeback and lift San Jose to a 3-2 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets in Ron Wilson's coaching debut with the Sharks.

Hired on Wednesday to replace Darryl Sutter, who was fired last Sunday, Wilson was staring a 2-1 loss in the face before his team turned it on midway through the third and scratched out a one-goal victory.

Patrick Marleau drew San Jose even with 9:41 remaining before Damphousse netted his ninth goal of the season to hand the Blue Jackets their third consecutive loss.

Scott Thornton also scored for the Sharks, while Evgeni Nabokov turned aside 28 shots to improve his lifetime record against the Blue Jackets to 5-1.

Geoff Sanderson scored both goals for Columbus, which fell to 0-4
