Forecaster predicts busy hurricane year

FORT COLLINS, Colo., Dec. 5 (UPI) -- Long-range hurricane forecaster William Gray of Colorado State University predicted Friday there would be twice as many hurricanes in 2003 as there were this past hurricane season. In the first of a series of forecasts Gray also said there will be 12 named storms from June 1 through Nov. 30 next year.
