UCLA sees Calif. economy sputtering

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 5 (UPI) -- A variety of negative news led UCLA economists to conclude Thursday that California's economy was stalled and would remain that way during the coming year. The quarterly Anderson Forecast said slumps in exports, employment and the technology sector would likely continue the malaise into 2004.
