Dec. 2, 2002 at 7:39 PM

YUMA, Ariz., Dec. 2 (UPI) -- A stretch version of the C-130 cargo plane passed a big test by performing short landings and takeoffs on a dirt airstrip, Lockheed said Monday. The CC-130J is 20 feet longer than the standard military Hercules, but still must be able to operate on small, primitive runways.
