Missouri: Talent leads Carnahan

ST. LOUIS, Nov. 6 (UPI) -- Republican challenger Jim Talent early Wednesday held a narrow lead over incumbent Sen. Jean Carnahan, D-Mo., in one of the most hotly contested senatorial races in the country. With 53 percent of precincts reporting, Talent led Carnahan 49 percent to 48 percent.
