Republican Simmons ahead in Conn.

HARTFORD, Conn., Nov. 5 (UPI) -- In the Connecticut 2nd Congressional District race, Republican incumbent Rob Simmons has 38,808 votes while Democratic challenger Joe Courtney has 32,006 votes. The Connecticut Secretary of State's office says that's with 30 precincts reporting, or 59 percent of the total.
