Md. governor's race too close to call

WASHINGTON, Oct. 27 (UPI) -- As the race for governor of Maryland enters its final week, a new poll Sunday showed that Democrat Kathleen Kennedy Townsend and Republican Robert L. Erlich Jr. were in a dead heat among likely voters. The Washington Post poll showed Erlich and Townsend each claimed 47 percent of likely voters, while six percent were undecided.
