CHEYENNE, Wyo., Oct. 26 (UPI) -- The Wyoming state Capitol building was reopened Saturday on early reports that the powder found Friday morning in an envelope at the governor office is not hazardous.

The building had been evacuated Friday morning as a precaution following the discovery of an envelope containing an unknown powder.

Six employees were transported to United Medical Center in Cheyenne as a precaution.

The envelope, which also contained a note, was opened about 10:30 a.m. MDT. No details about the envelope itself or its contents were released, Stephen Miller, director of the state's Division of Criminal Investigation, told United Press International Friday.

The DCI was called to the scene to investigate the incident.

Also responding was the state health officer, Dr. Brent Sherard. He said none of the employees appeared ill at the time they were transported to the hospital.

The envelope and its contents were sent to the Wyoming Department of Health laboratory. Further testing will continue on the unknown powder with final results expected by Sunday.
