Court saves monument created by Clinton

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 19 (UPI) -- A federal appeals court Friday refused to overturn a presidential order that created a national monument in California two years ago. Tulare County officials said they were considering an appeal of the ruling that upheld President Clinton's controversial use of an executive order to create the Giant Sequoia National Monument.
