High court rejects Hsia case

WASHINGTON, Oct. 15 (UPI) -- The Supreme Court Tuesday refused to review the case of Maria Hsia, a Democratic fundraiser convicted in connection with a 1996 event at a Buddhist Temple. Hsia wanted the court to determine whether she had to know that her acts were illegal in order to violate the campaign funding law.
