Court rejects S.C. tattoo case

WASHINGTON, Oct. 7 (UPI) -- The Supreme Court passed up the chance Monday to hear argument on whether the 8,000-year-old art of tattooing is protected by the free-speech guarantee of the First Amendment. The rejected case involves a man who was arrested for violating South Carolina's ban against tattooing.
