LAX terminal evacuated for several hours

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 29 (UPI) -- Part of a terminal at Los Angeles International Airport was temporarily evacuated Sunday after a man bypassed a security checkpoint, the Los Angeles Police Department said. The upper level of the terminal, which serves American Airlines, was evacuated around 11:50 a.m., while the incident was investigated. The search lasted two hours before workers and travelers were allowed to return.
