Unocal mulls appeal in Myanmar setback

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 19 (UPI) -- Unocal was considering its options Thursday after a federal court ruling that American companies can be held liable for abetting human rights abuses in foreign countries. Wednesday's ruling, which Unocal may appeal, came in a case alleging the company ignored abuses that occurred during construction of a pipeline in Myanmar.
