Accuser drops sex suit against monsignor

BOSTON, Sept. 4 (UPI) -- A high-ranking official in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston was seeking reinstatement Wednesday after the man who accused him of child sex abuse withdrew his lawsuit. Monsignor Michael Smith Foster had voluntarily asked to be placed on administrative leave when the lawsuit accusing him of child rape was filed three weeks ago.
