LA airport probe targets ID theft

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 23 (UPI) -- Federal authorities in Los Angeles said Friday that their nine-month investigation into employees at five area airports uncovered a wide range of identity fraud. More than 100 airport employees were indicted this week for allegedly using fraudulent Social Security numbers to obtain high-security clearances.
