Report: US adviser expects new nuke tests

LAS VEGAS, Aug. 15 (UPI) -- A Defense Department official said the United States would have to resume full-scale testing of nuclear weapons sometime in the next five to 10 years to confirm their reliability, according to Thursday's Las Vegas Review-Journal. Pentagon adviser Dale Klein said "aging characteristics" had cropped up in nuclear warhead materials.
