HUNTSVILLE, Texas, Aug. 14 (UPI) -- A Mexican national was scheduled for execution Wednesday in Texas for the murder of a Dallas police officer unless the courts or Gov. Rick Perry intervene. The Mexican government is fighting the execution of 33-year-old Javier Suarez Medina because he was not advised when he was arrested nearly 14 years ago that he had the right to contact his consulate for legal assistance.
