Cops seek motive in Jessica abduction

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 14 (UPI) -- Police still aren't sure what prompted a 39-year-old mother of four to allegedly take young Jessica Cortez from a Los Angeles park over the weekend. Acting Police Chief Martin Pomeroy told reporters Wednesday they had not coaxed a motive out of suspect Patricia Cornejo, who remains jailed on $500,000 bail.
