Runnion kidnap suspect pleads innocent

SANTA ANA, Calif., Aug. 9 (UPI) -- The suspect in the kidnapping and killing of 5-year-old Samantha Runnion pleaded innocent Friday to charges that could bring him the death penalty if convicted. Alejandro Avila made his first appearance in Orange County court dressed in jail attire and in shackles.
