Supreme Court halts Texas execution

HUNTSVILLE, Texas, June 11 (UPI) -- The U.S. Supreme Court halted the execution of convicted Texas killer Willie Mack Moddon Tuesday, only hours before he was to receive a lethal injection for a 1984 murder. Moddon's attorneys contend he is mentally retarded and his condition was not fully considered by the trial court.
