17 Gambino associates indicted

NEW YORK, June 4 (UPI) -- Prosecutors on Tuesday said that 17 associates of the Gambino crime family had been indicted on charges including racketeering and extortion. "This case is a major step in our efforts to clean up waterfront and dismantle the Gambino crime family," said New York Attorney General Elliot Spitzer.
