Energy firm CEO resigns over 'wash' trades

LOS ANGELES, May 24 (UPI) -- The chief executive officer of a Michigan energy company has resigned amid a growing federal regulatory probe over so-called wash trades in the California electricity market. CMS Energy also announced it would restate its 2000 and 2001 financial statements, although earnings and cash flows won't be affected.
