Texas man executed for killing girlfriend

HUNTSVILLE, Texas, April 10 (UPI) -- A Texas killer was executed Wednesday for shooting his estranged girlfriend to death nine years ago in a hospital parking lot. Jose Santellan Sr. was pronounced dead at 6:26 p.m. CDT after receiving a lethal injection at a prison in Huntsville.
