Hit-and-run suspect faces higher bond

FORT WORTH, Texas, March 8 (UPI) -- The nurse's aide charged with murder in a bizarre hit-and-run accident was jailed Friday after a judge increased her bond from $10,000 to $250,000. Chante Mallard allegedly hit a homeless man with her car, drove home with his body impaled in the windshield, and then allowed him to die in her garage.
