DOJ, FTC divide antitrust responsibilities

WASHINGTON, March 5 (UPI) -- The Justice Department and the Federal Trade Commission Tuesday announced an agreement to overhaul the antitrust clearance process for mergers and acquisitions. The department and the FTC, which in the past have shared jurisdiction, will for the first time divide responsibility for individual industries.
